Gas or Ass Key Chain/Bottle Opener Giveaway!

Almost fainted when I found this key chain on Etsy. And the best part?
The seller is from Matthews, N.C.

Ain't it purdy?

Of course I grabbed one to give away, to celebrate the release of Pedal to the Metal, as well as to say thank you for loving Shelby and the Hannah brothers.

(I made this mock up, and don't have the exact font that will be used. The actual item will have thinner lettering, exactly like NC vehicle tags and the vendor will ship to the winner directly.
Sorry, international readers, he'll ship to US addresses only.)

One Love ~ Bring Your Kindle and get 2 free books!

After a year that has brought us from Ferguson to Baltimore to Charleston, I've wracked my brain to figure out a way to foster tolerance, understanding, and acceptance. This is what I've come up with.

One Love. An online event for readers and writers of romance. We're gonna mingle, chat, and get to know each other. And every attendee will leave the event with 2 shiny new ebooks. You CANNOT walk out the door with just one.

The event has a simple premise. We have gotta get together. We have to find common ground, and as a romance author, I thought, what simpler way to start than to read a book with a heroine from a different culture than yours?

I write both Interracial and non-interracial titles. I know many authors who write one or the other...and many readers who read one or the other, but few who write or read both.

How could we change the world if we read books for their content and didn't segregate our Kindles?

As an author, you're committing to gift one book, via Kindle docs or as an Amazon gift, to any attendee who asks, no matter how many or how few that might be. (ARCs are fine)

As a reader, take time to browse the collections offered by the authors in attendance, mingle with all the authors who participate, and at the end, choose TWO titles, which you will receive as a gift from the authors. You MUST CHOOSE one IR (interracial) title and one non-IR title. Furthermore, you agree to READ both. Reviews are optional, but I know most of us would appreciate them.

Authors, post the link to your Amazon pages, starting now. Show off your cover art, blurbs, and anything else that helps us know who you are as a person, as well as an author. Add anyone and everyone you know who will agree to gift their work, or read two free books, in the spirit of changing the world.

Words matter. Diversity matters. Because there's just one love, let the change start with us, the readers and writers of romance. I don't trust politicians, but I trust a romance author to show us how to love.

So, invite your friends, browse the posts and let's open ourselves to change, then we can tackle the world.

Join the event here: https://www.facebook.com/events/976113445744861/976140095742196/ Be sure to invite your friends!

Nicole has a new life, a new man, and she refuses to look back. To everyone around her though, not looking back looks an awful lot like running scared from the past.

With Jackie and Ian's wedding approaching, a reunion between the best man and the maid of honor is to be expected. What they don't expect is for the olive branch of friendship to catch fire with a love and need that is stronger than even their best intentions.

They called it quits. But is it really over? They still love each other. But does that even matter when they've made up their minds that there's no going back?

$5 Amazon Gift Card & 43 other prizes! Cranberries n' Spice Blog Hop

Sometimes, you have to lose something to appreciate what you have. That's the situation my heroine finds herself in in my recent release, TuDawgs. Melody "Nicey" Alexander has lost everything, thanks to her affair with the lieutenant governor, but she's about to find out that what she has left is more than enough. The story is an erotic romp through a carnival, a tale about a bad girl and a carnie, and how to find your way back home.

I'm giving away a $5 Amazon gift card and  (1) ebook copy of TuDawgs.

We soon reached the double-length booth. Cheap glassware glittered under hot lights. Glasses, baking dishes, clear plates, coffee cups, and ash trays were stacked so the easy-to-land tosses would net something small or garish. The more desirable items perched on rotating platforms. Squinting, I studied the wares.

The booth attendant approached. I handed over eight quarters and got back twenty-five dimes. “Uh, you miscounted.” I handed five coins back, raising my voice to be heard over the guy calling bingo in the next tent.

“Nah, you’re good,” the young man assured me, darting a look at Carnie from under raised brows. He curled my fingers over the coins. “Keep ‘em. Call it a customer loyalty bonus.”

Carnie snorted and glared at the teenager. “Yeah, right.” Was he jealous? The kid couldn’t be twenty.

I spied a red casserole dish with a clear glass lid. There were several more scattered throughout the display, in various sizes. I pointed to one about three inches square, atop of one of the rotating stands. The small ones would be the hardest to win, since it’d be easier for the dime to slide off the miniscule surface. The dishes were perfect to hold leftovers when my mother cooked for one—after I found a way to move out.

“Aim for those.” I pointed.

Carnie huffed. “You say that like my mama doesn’t need new drinking glasses.”

His aggrieved look made me burst out laughing. He was easy to be around. God, did I ever need someone easy to be around.

“Okay, but if I stick this dime, you’re kissing me.” He waved the coin under my nose.

“And if you miss?”

“I kiss you.”

I threw my dime. “You must know a lot of dumb women.” The coin skidded across the bottom of the upended dish and fell off the other side.

The attendant yelled, “Winner! Winner!” He reached into the display and turned, sitting a striped tea glass in front of me. I slid the tumbler in front of Carnie.

“Looks like you’re not going home to mama empty-handed after all.” I took aim again, breathing deep and trying to calm down, so I could take a little off my throw. The dime struck the same spot as before and began to skid. I grabbed Carnie’s arm, jumping up and down. “Stop. C’mon, stop!”

The leading edge hung over the side, but the coin stayed on the dish.

“We got us another winner!” the young carnival worker cried. He lifted the tablecloth and grabbed an identical dish from a big box underneath. After popping the lid on top, he placed my prize on the railing in front of me.

“I think you’re a ringer,” Carnie said, poking me in the rib. “Tell the truth. You throw dimes for a living.”
“No, but I used to rake them in.” He raised a brow and I regretted bring up the topic. No sense getting depressed. “I’m two for two… and you?” I faked a grin, overwhelmed by a surge of longing for my former position as fundraising director for a children’s charity.

He dragged his dime along the side of his jaw. Think about that nice, square jaw. Not Deuce Tattersall or the job he cost me.

“For the record, I prefer intelligent women.” Carnie’s coin struck the side of the dish I’d hit. He laughed when the dime bounced off and landed on the white table covering. “Looks like you get a kiss.”

Why not? I lifted my chin as he moved close. His body blocked out the hustle and bustle around us. The rock and roll rhythm blaring from the nearby rides pounded through me. He moved one hand to the small of my back, pulling me against him. But he took his sweet time lowering his head.

There’s a place between being manhandled and being handled by a man that turns my will to water. Carnie made himself at home in that spot.

He didn’t try to take more than I offered. No tongue forced itself into my mouth. His lips were firm, yet soft. I enjoyed the way his hands felt on my body. His warmth was welcome in the crisp, evening air. This is nice.

When Carnie raised his head, he stared into my eyes for a long moment, then leaned in again. This time, he brushed his lips back and forth over mine. The soft friction generated a tingle that lingered on my lips long after he pulled away and sailed his dime through the air.

Very nice. I couldn’t keep staring, so I looked for an easier dish to aim for. His coin struck the side of the dish but ricocheted onto the ground. “Oh, look. You get another kiss.”

He turned toward me. My heart skipped a beat when his lips touched mine. I expected another chaste kiss, but he teased his way inside my mouth. I forgot about the stupid dishes. I forgot my vow to give up bad boys. I forgot I was only with him to piss Molly off. All I could think was how good he tasted and how damn well he kissed.

Stroke for stroke, I responded eagerly, exploring him and letting him explore me. I slid my hands underneath the denim jacket, enjoying the way his muscles felt against my palms.

“Hey, Brass. You gonna pitch a dime or pitch a tent?” The young attendant snickered.

What kind of name is Brass? Insider joke, no doubt about his balls. Nobody named their kid Brass. I decided to stick with Carnie.

Carnie broke away with a growl. Wordlessly, he tossed his entire handful of dimes over his shoulder and put his hand at the small of my back again, pulling me closer. Pressed to his chest, my nipples began to throb. The sensation echoed between my thighs.

“Damn, brother. You trying to break me?” Glass clinked behind us when the attendant moved his winnings to the wide rail at Carnie’s back. Paper rattled, but I was lost in the man.

“Hey, lady. Isn’t this you?”

I broke away and stared in horror at the crumpled newspaper the young man held up. My face stared back, schooled into the mask I wore walking into the Columbia FBI office with my hands locked into steel cuffs.
The bold headline screamed. Lt. Governor’s Mistress Set Free in Children’s Charity Scam Case.

Set free. Not “exonerated,” but set free, like little elves worked some magical spell to conceal my guilt. No one conceals guilt from the FBI. Those bastards ripped my life apart until they knew which brand of tampons I prefer. No, their investigation was more intense than that. They knew which coupons I’d clipped for those tampons were expired.

~E

We've all had our hearts broken. That's what heartbreakers do, they leave behind a trail of broken-hearted women.
Willa Davis Seachrist has had her share of heartbreak. If you find it hard to feel sympathy for her, I'd understand  After all, how much pain can a woman with a billion dollar divorce settlement actually feel?

Enough pain to set her on a unique course. As a pimp.

(unedited excerpt from Carmine Club No. 01 Forceful Negotiations)

"I wanted this house. So, I bought it and set about restorin' it. In the process, I found Eve Carmine's diaries. This house was completed in eighteen fifty-nine. Readin' her comments about her life, I realized in the midst of all this wealth, Eve was livin' in sexual poverty. I could relate. I wasn't struck as much by what had changed for women in two hundred and fifty-three years as I was by what hasn't. Rich or poor, women still have to scrimp in one important regard. Sexual satisfaction. Too damn many of us live in sexual poverty, Teague." The elegant woman turned her back on the window.
Her painted lips curved into the first smile Teague felt was genuine. "One day I had an epiphany. What if I could use my money and this estate to offer women the chance to explore their fantasies in a safe, consensual environment? Why not create a place where our fantasies are the ones being celebrated?"
Sex had been a luxury for Teague, something she rarely had time to indulge in. When she did, if she'd been open about her needs, she only hit another wall of male condemnation. Yet sex was like breathing, everyone was compelled to do it. The fact sex usually left her gasping for a release that never came only made fucking less effective than air, not different. She felt the truth of Willa's words down to her soul. Hell, she could be the poster child for sexual starvation.
"Why an auction?" Before she penned the hardest part of her short statement, caution made Teague voice the concern. Roaming the estate and meeting someone she wanted to sleep with was one thing, but the way this club worked was unusual, to say the least.
Willa returned to her chair, smoothing her side swept bangs in a way that made Teague think of a cat perfecting its fur. The older blonde lowered her voice and lifted her index finger to her temple. "Men must compete in order to tap into that head space where we need them to be on our club weekends. We want them feelin' manly and confident. Competitive. Think of the auction as sexual theater."
Teague thought Willa's near-whisper a ploy to be sure the woman had her attention. She resented the tactic even as she strained to make out every word. "We need their testosterone pumpin'. The auction sets that up nicely. You'll strip and be handcuffed to one of our luggage carts. They work deliciously well."

Poor Willa. While she's fearless when it comes to helping her friends cure their sexual starvation, take it from me, she's not gonna be a happy camper when she finds out Cupid has moved into her mansion. His mission? Help Willa find her soul mate. Not the easiest job when she's fighting Eros tooth and nail. And honey, if anyone knows how to fight dirty, it's a former Miss Georgia.

Hot Summer Heroes Blog Hop ~ Huge B&N Gift Certificate Up For Grabs!

What kind of hero makes you melt?

Do you like the quiet, sensitive type, like the hero in Soft Sounds of Pleasure, Colton De Marco?
(excerpt)
Colton stood frozen just inside Lila's garage, his eyes riveted on her gesture. It was like she'd stepped out of his head. She was dressed the same. Even her hair was the same, flowing out the back of a baseball cap, the same jail-break tendrils cuddling her face. The only difference he could see was that this time, when she raised the shirttail to her face, the two items making his cock hard were the adorable dimples just above her ass.
He wanted to swirl his tongue around those little dips.
He wanted to hold her till she cried her last tear.
He wanted to make her laugh.
He wanted her.
He gripped the potted orchid in his hand and adjusted his damn jeans. His movement finally caught her attention, because she dropped the shirt and glanced over her shoulder.
He smiled as she stepped to the radio and reached to turn the volume down. "Is that for me?" she asked.
Having Lila smile back at him was like basking in sunshine after a cold rain. He had to clear his throat before he could speak. "My way of saying thanks. Well, this and lunch, because if you're not busy, I'm going to insist."

Or perhaps you're more drawn to Colton's older and more dominant brother, Daniel, the hero in my upcoming release, Wildly Inappropriate?
(unedited excerpt)

"Last year Brian sent six skinny bleached blondes in bikinis. They were supposed to wash our trucks, I guess, but ended up washing each other." Some emotion flashed in his eyes. She thought it might've been scorn. "One of 'em wrote Brian's offer in shoe polish on my windshield." His expression became stern. "Getting those six back into that van was like herding wet cats. Two female customers who had their vehicles up on lifts and couldn't leave haven't been back to the shop since. Now, he's sent you. Why am I finding it so hard to throw you out?"
Cynda had no idea how to respond. The stinging handprints on her butt were warning enough not to think out loud.
"So, I hope like hell Brian picked your outfit and not you. It won't matter, really, because if you want to go through with this, I'll be choosing your clothes." He shoved his fingers through his hair, whirling away to begin pacing back and forth. "What's your name?"
The soft feeling his comment about her hair had induced evaporated with his insult, but she answered his question. "Cynda Avery."
He continued talking, his long legs eating up the distance between the back door and the table where she sat. His pacing made her think he was the one on a chain, but that made no sense. "I'm not going to put my cock in you, Cynda, but if you'll allow me the privilege, I want to make you come. Look at this as an exercise in trust. And to see if we're compatible, before we discuss anything else."
This white boy is nuts. Cute as hell, but crazier than a bedbug. She laughed harshly, so off-balance by his odd assortment of declarations she forgot she wasn't supposed to speak. "Yeah? And what's in that for you?"
"I'm a man who likes to take control, Cynda, but I don't object to proving I deserve to be in control of a woman's body."

To be entered to win a copy of Soft Sounds of Pleasure in e-book format, just leave a comment with a valid e-mail address.
I use the Draw Straws online application to select my winners, and will give away one (1) copy for each twenty entries. Winners will be notified at the e-mail address provided at the end of the hop.
Grand Prize winner of a $100 B&N gift certificate is to be selected from among all those commenting in the event.

4th of July Blog Hop! Win an Amazon G!ft Card, Soft Sounds of Pleasure

Welcome to my stop on the 4th of July Blog Hop!

One lucky commenter will receive a $5 gift card from Amazon US, and another will win an e-book copy of my latest release, Soft Sounds of Pleasure, the first book in the series Those Devilish De Marco Men.

"Who are the De Marco men?" you ask. They're three delicious, dark-haired brothers who operate a family garage. Men so hot and hard-bodied that women in the small southern town where they  live  have been known to disable their own cars just for the pleasure of watching one of these three bend over their engines. Their mother walked out on the family when they were small, so each brother has some sort of, shall we say, commitment issue?

Daniel, the oldest, is the one in charge, partly because of birthright, but mostly because Dan's a natural Dom. He's thirty-six and still single because if he has to settle for vanilla sex, he'll go without. In Book 2, Wildly Inappropriate, due out this fall, Daniel finds not only the woman who tempts him to do something wildly inappropriate in order to have her, but learns the shocking answer to the question of why their mother abandoned them as children.

Eric is the jokester and the brother who's dated every woman in town. His love life is best described as hit-and-run. He's so sure women will abandon him the way his mother did, he's always the first one out the door. Dan and Colton tease him a lot, and Eric plays the clown to hide his lingering hurt at being left behind with a father who became bitter and angry. Eric's going to find a woman he cannot run from, in Incidental Contact.

But right now, I'd like you to meet Colton, the youngest. Now twenty-nine, he's had a serious thing for forty-year-old, married Lila Walker ever since he was nineteen. When Colton learns her husband has died, he's prepared to do whatever it takes to convince Lila he can be more than her boy toy. He has a few obstacles. You see, their youngest sister Sarah has been killed and her son Jonah has come to live with Colton, since Sarah was never married and no one--not even Daniel-- knows who Jonah's father is.

When he's not sulking, Jonah wants to play baseball. Lila's only son Charlie played baseball. He even won the state championship before he joined the Marine Corps, so Colton hopes Lila can make room in her heart not only for him, but for the orphaned child that is making life miserable  at the moment . And to hell with the fact that everyone in town thinks Lila hasn't mourned Pete long enough. Colton's decided ten years is long enough to wait to get his hands on the woman of his dreams.

Blurb:
Colton wants a home run with Lila. The bases are loaded against him: one foul nephew, one ogre-in-law, and Lila's loyal heart won't let Colton pinch-hit for her late husband. With the whole town keeping score, it's Game On.

"So, how do I win?" you ask.

This series has four books.
Since there are only three brothers:
1. Leave a comment guessing which character (mentioned above) is the focus of Book Four
2. AND a valid e-mail address.
It's that simple.

Winner will be chosen via the Draw Straws online application, and the link to the results will be posted here. In round 1, I'll enter every commenter's name, and draw a winner for the $5 Amazon gift card. In Round 2, every remaining name will be re-entered, EXCEPT the winner of the card. So, two chances to win!
This is a huge blog hop, so don't miss visiting each author for more Amazon cards, more books and more fun! Click here to return to the host blog which will list every participating author and the prize they're offering.

Happy 4th of July!

Full Blurb: Lila Walker has batted lead-off in Colton De Marco's fantasies for years, and now that he's stumbled upon her sunbathing in the nude, he decides to take his best swing.

Coping with her ogre-in-law, her inability to collect her late husband's life insurance, and the knowledge the entire town's counting the days she wears widow's weeds, Lila decides some between-the-sheets batting practice is just the distraction she needs—even if their sexy scrimmage won't last the summer.

But is she missing Colton's signals that he's in it to win it? And can Colton knock it out of the park with the attractive widow before his thirteen-year-old nephew's foul attitude gets him thrown out of the game?

Blurb:

Lila Walker has batted lead-off in Colton De Marco's

fantasies for years, and now that he's stumbled upon her

sunbathing in the nude, he decides to take his best swing.

Coping with her ogre-in-law, her inability
to collect her late husband's life insurance, and the knowledge the
entire town’s counting the days she wears widow's weeds,
Lila decides some between-the-sheets batting practice is just the distraction
she needs--even if their sexy scrimmage won’t last the summer.
But is she missing Colton's signals that he's in it to win it?
And can Colton knock it out of the park with the attractive widow
before his thirteen-year-old nephew’s foul attitude
gets Colton thrown out of the game?
