Those Devilish De Marco Men - The Series

De Marco.

In one small South Carolina town, the De Marco family name conjures images of drop-dead gorgeous brothers with the bronze skin and dark hair of their Italian forefathers--and some say--serious commitment issues.

Daniel's the head of the family, responsible and dominant. At thirty-seven, Dan figures if he has to make do with plain vanilla sex, he'll do without.

Middle brother Eric, family clown and sexual hit-and-run expert, has dated damn near every short brunette in town by the age of thirty-three, but before things ever get serious, Eric's already three steps out the door.

Colton's the youngest at twenty-nine, the quiet dreamer of the family. It's not that he can't find a woman to hold his interest. He found her when he was nineteen. Too bad she was already married.

But local folklore about the  De Marco's is about to change. The women in town will watch with dismay as the gorgeous brothers start going down like tall, dark dominoes, each finding the woman of his dreams. Along the way, an old family mystery will unfold, digging up painful memories and something more...a sense of family pride these men have never before had.

Book #1: Soft Sounds of Pleasure

Colton wants a home run with Lila. The bases are loaded against him: one foul nephew, one ogre-in-law, and Lila's loyal heart won't let him pinch-hit for her late husband. With the whole town keeping score, it's Game On.

Lila Walker has batted lead-off in Colton De Marco's fantasies for years, and now that he's stumbled upon her sunbathing in the nude, he decides to take his best swing.

Coping with her ogre-in-law, her inability to collect her late husband's life insurance, and the knowledge the entire town's counting the days she wears widow's weeds, Lila decides some between-the-sheets batting practice is just the distraction she needs--even if their sexy scrimmage won't last the summer.

But is she missing Colton's signals that he's in it to win it? And can Colton knock it out of the park with the attractive widow before his thirteen-year-old nephew's foul attitude gets him thrown out of the game?
(e-book format, approx. 222 pp.) 2nd edition

Book #2: Wildly Inappropriate

Daniel De Marco can't believe his eyes when he looks out his kitchen window to see a young woman chained to his bumper. Not only is she wearing a collar and leash and damn little else, but she's black and she's beautiful, and she makes him a stunning offer--her body for two weeks in exchange for an hour a day to talk him into selling his neglected peach orchards.

Cynda Avery is relieved Daniel isn't some old redneck farmer, but he's more than she can handle, from the wildly inappropriate clothes he wants her to wear, to the confident way he handles her body, to the kinky way he likes to tie her up to have sex.

When she finds the key to his mother's disappearance and ends up spending the weekend in jail, will Daniel decide Cynda's an itch he's already scratched?
(e-book format, approx. 250 pp) 2nd Edition

Book #3: Incidental Contact

What if a random kiss with the wrong woman feels like more than incidental contact? What if you sense every mistake brought you to this place, with this person? What if you know you'll have to clean up your bad-boy past and can't offer her much of a future, but you're determined to win her heart? What if you're also having...performance issues? Welcome to Eric De Marco's world. First person to say 'go hard or go home' gets his ass kicked.

(e-book format, approx. 290 pages)

Book #4 Intentional Walk (working title)
What will Lila, Colton, and the growing De Marco clan do when a man claiming to be Jonah's father shows up? Will his appearance provoke one of their women to cancel a momentous event  the entire family's been looking forward to?

When things go bad for Lila, they tend to go really bad. On top of the furor around Jonah,  her son Charlie comes home. The hardcore Marine isn't impressed with the choices his mother's made since he was deployed to Iraq. (Blurb is unedited and subject to change. No release date yet, work in progress.)

  2. I cannot wait for the rest!!! SSoP is one book I could not put down. I couldn't get enough of Lila and Colton - whether they were at the baseball field watching Colton's nephew, or discovering what made the other tick, it was so well written and so darned enjoyable, I was sad when I was done. I can't wait for September to get another fix with Dan and Cynda. Do I really have to wait until Christmas for Eric's story??? And number 4 - please say it's coming REALLY soon???? Oh, let's face it, anything you write is worth reading!

    1. The short answer is, not yet.
The longer answer is that the first two books in this series were first published by Silver Publishing, and the entire series (or world and characters) were owned by him. You can Google the name and read most of the nasty, disheartening things that happened after the publisher began stealing author royalties. Once he got caught with his hand in the till, he continued to string us along, making promises of payment, and refused to return our rights, even when he was in breach of contract. I had Incidental Contact abut 60%finished when the shit hit the fan, and the year-long drama sucked out my soul and made writing impossible, because every day, there was a new wrinkle in the web of lies, and he refused to revert the rights to the series even after I had done everything legally required to get my rights back.

So...Intentional Walk got put on the back burner, in favor of new projects that weren't under contract to that vampire. Once it was over and I had the rights back, I managed to complete IC, but I had such a bad taste in my mouth, I haven't been back to file with my notes for Intentional Walk since.

But..I have it back on my writing schedule. It's not next, but I hope to start working on it full-time by the end of 2015.

Sorry, I know that's not the answer you came to hear. :( But, your enthusiasm is a huge part of why I put the story back on my radar. I will write it, because it's the pin that fits every little detail together and ties it with a bow.

Thank you for embracing the series. It was my first and will always be special to me.

    2. Truly loved reading the first three books. Disappointed to see what happened to you and the publisher.
Hope you do finish writing book four because my interest was pricked after reading the unedited piece in book 3. Jay and Jonah's story sounds interesting and I enjoy reading your work.

  8. I understand the bad taste left by the vampire you dealt with but am very excited to hear that you are going to write the 4th story in the series. I've only read the first book so far but was anxious about how Jonah grows up :)

  10. Just finished the 3rd book and am so anxious for the 4th. Lots will be happening in it, sounds like. Good luck with staying on task as that is always so difficult for me. :)

  11. Just finished the 3rd book and can't wait for all the excitement of the 4th. Good luck with staying on task as that's not my strong point.

  12. I absolutely love your writing. Your characters are so real and engaging and your storylines draw ne in from the first page. You are an automatic 1-click purchase for me on Amazon. Do you have a tentative release date for book 4 in the De Marco series? Anxiously waiting! For the next Cuda Confessions book also!!!

    1. Thank you!
Now for the bad news. No release date in sight.
      Here's why.
I started fooling with writing int he 1st person POV when I wrote Rain on Me. I used it in the Cuda Confessions....and it's become second nature to me.
Dropping back to write in 3rd POV with the De Marco series is so damn awkward, I don't get much on the page before I realize I've switched unconsciously.
But, it'll happen. Probably not till later in the year, but it's coming. I have too many good things in store for this cast of characters not to write them.
Thank you so much for the message, you made my day :)

  13. You are my new'favorite author'. I've read Cuda Confessions first, and fell in love. Can't wait for the next book. Now, I just finished Those DeMarco Men and I can't wait for more. Patiently waiting for IW. Your writing feels so real, like I could meet these people if I went to SC. Especially after visiting your Pinterest pin of Ike's Place! Thank you, Eden Conner!

    1. Oh, wow! Thank you! (I thought I was the only person looking at my Pinterest page!) I am hoping to move back to Spartanburg this June. Georgia just ain't my ride, to paraphrase Ernie. Once that happens, I should get more written. This place is a zoo. And I've done my time as keeper of all the monkeys, frankly. So, the plan is to have both the De Marco and the Cuda Confession book 4 out by year's end. I am no good at writing sex with my grandbaby clinging to my leg. Just. Can't. Do it.
